Single Day Registration

You may register and attend the conference for a single day. This covers 2 teas and lunch plus a name tag that will be valid for the day.

Payment of registration and other fees

All Congress payments must be paid directly into the Congress bank account. The methods of payments are either an EFT or a cash deposit paid at the bank

Delegates are also advised to bring a copy of POP when coming to register on the afternoon of 12 July 2026 or early in the morning of 13 July 202

The last date for LATE registration is 06 July 2026 @ 11:00. No registrations will be accepted after this date and time!

No credit card payments will be accepted at the conference venue. Pay before closing date.

Cancellation Policy

Once your registration form has been submitted and processed, a cancellation fee of 20% of all costs will be charged for cancellations up to 20 June 2026. After 20 June 2026 no refunds will be made for any cancellation of complete or partial costs.

PLEASE NOTE: EXCURSIONS (Wednesday afternoon, 15 July 2026)

Participants may choose one of these excursions.
The quoted tour price only includes transport and entry fees to places of visits.
The bus for each tour will depart from UMP at 14:00.
No food or beverages will be provided during any of the tours.
All participants will have to sign an indemnity form.
Bookings will be confirmed on a first-come-first-served basis.
We reserve the right to cancel an excursion if too few bookings are made.
Prices are subject to change.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMME/CALL FOR PAPERS

Please note that the call for papers will be closing on 26 March 2026. The papers will be rigorously reviewed. Subsequently, comprehensive feedback will be given to authors/presenters by 11 May 2026. We trust that our academic programme will be of high academic significance.

MATHS MARKET

Publishers, entrepreneurs, and NGOs are invited to present and promote their commercial products in a special session in the programme called a Maths Market presentation. Research about such products may be presented as an academic paper which will be reviewed, but commercial products should not be directly promoted in academic sessions. Maths Market presentations are not reviewed and not published in the Congress Proceedings. WEATHER IN JULY

Mbombela is cold in July. Ensure that you dress warmly. The average daily temperature ranges from 8^oC to 21^oC.

AMESA Membership

You are reminded that the AMESA National Congress is an official AMESA activity. Thus, it is for fully paid-up AMESA members only. If you have not renewed your membership for 2026 or are a non- member, kindly access the electronic version of the membership form using the link below or fill in the membership form on page 16.

All details are shown on the form. It is a fillable form. Please type in all your details accurately. Once completed, please email the form to membership@amesa.org.za

Your proof of membership fee payment must be submitted separately as it goes into the AMESA account (and not the Congress account). Details of the account number are in the membership form

Meals

The tea, lunches, and the Welcome Dinner (Monday evening) are included in the registration fee. Please indicate your dietary requirements on the Registration Form.

Transport

When arriving by plane, please make your own transport arrangements. There are several taxis and e-taxis available.

When arriving by bus, you can drop at the Mbombela Bus station and request an e-taxi.
If you are driving, you may use the google maps for directions to your accommodation as well as the university campus, the congress venue.
Transport will be organised for Plenary Speakers only.

Equipment for Presenters

For computer workshops or presentations, presenters must supply any software to be pre-installed by 20 June 2026.
For presentations and workshops, presenters must please email their audio-visual requirements to the Academic Coordinator and Deputy Congress Director by 20 June 2026 at mphahlele@amesa.org.za and agnes@amesa.org.za
Bring your own connection cables for presentation in case you use your personal laptop.

Congress Memorabilia

Congress memorabilia will be available. We have acquired the services of an independent vendor, and the Mpumalanga region Executive Committee is responsible. Purchases will be co-ordinated by the region between the delegate and the vendor. The region will ensure that the delegates receive their memorabilia during registration provided it was ordered on time.
